As Above So Below [CLIPP213] By Anna Dubowick

For anyone familiar with our international DJ Mix series, Anna Dubowick is a familiar name. A longtime friend of your favourite label, 2022 found the Ukrainian artist commencing working on her debut EP “As Within So Without” from what was to become the epicentre of military events in her home country. Synths and pad atmospheres sculpturing by the sounds and emotions of the surreal surroundings in her hometown of Kharkiv, after 100 days of war Anna moved to safe harbour in the city of NYC to begin life anew and where she began incorporating syncopated rhythms and rubbery breakbeats into the mix. With “As Above So Below”, the first track from her debut EP arriving on the Autumn Equinox 21st of September -  in polarity to Anna’s birthday on the Summer Solstice - so begin the emergence to what has become an emotionally charged spiritual journey into observation and reflection on such thought provoking themes as life and death, evolution and collective intelligence. As one who has experienced the absurdity of war and its effects on family and home.
